Butterfly Care - Pollinator Gardens (Culture Days)

  • Willow Park Ecology Centre Guelph St Norval Canada (map)

Nature is our cultural gift! Let’s care for it! Register here Enjoy helping to care for our magical ravine biodiversity hotspot in Hungry Hollow! It contributes to human well-being! You will also enjoy the rewards of mood enhancement through exposure to natural environments. Sign up and join us, heart offerings welcome using the extra register tabs.

We will explore the role of pollinator gardens. This is one of four special Culture Day Nature Theme events where you can learn from our experts. The Centre's Roadside Pollinator Patch, within the park, shows how to integrate flowers in our landscape that help our friends, the bees and butterflies, who make our food possible. Learn how to design one and help tidy it. Families and adults, teenagers alike are invited to come out in the lush ravine environment soaking up the healthy air and nature’s beauty with others. Bring your gardening gloves if you have any, or we can lend you ours! Plan to take photos and ask lots of questions as we explore and care for the garden together. Meet at the Pavilion, access the nature park using Mary St., Norval's parking lot and walk down into the ravine past the ball diamond - hang a right and you'll see the central open sided Pavilion.

As fall approaches it gives us colour and much richness in nature’s harvest. Everyone leaves feeling more relaxed and fulfilled.
